You did it. You got all the way onto your opponent’s side of the field, you shot everyone in the back, and you helped your team win the game. All of the pieces fell perfectly into place and you had fun doing it. Paintball is like extreme chess. It’s capture the flag with an intense twist, where your opponent doesn’t even have to be that close to you to stop you from getting the flag because they have a paintball marker. Adrenaline meets strategy meets cardio meets marksmanship skills, and together they bring us paintball.

Some time ago, many people thought about paintball as a type of war-game, meant only for disaster preppers and people obsessed with the military, veterans or not. But in reality it’s a great way to relieve stress, it’s great for teambuilding and teamwork, a fun way to celebrate a bachelor or bachelorette party, an escape from reality, and for many it provides an organized competitive outlet that also encourages lots of travel if you so choose!

Paintball is fast. Whether you are playing recreational paintball, speedball, or a big scenario game, the action comes fast and hard and it’s difficult not to get excited about it! The temporary sting of getting shot is well worth the excitement of battling your friends and playing a more intense version of hide-and-seek!

There is a place for everyone in Paintball. If the mask fits your face and you are 10 years old or above, you can play! Places like Punishers Paintball have everything to suit your paintball needs, from the newest players to the most experienced professionals. We have products from all of the best manufacturers like Planet Eclipse, DLX Technologies, Dye Paintball, G.I. Sportz and many others!

Much can be said about working together and feeling a great deal of satisfaction when things click. In paintball, the best way to win is to work with your teammates and make great strategies! Going to play with your friends, family and co-workers is a great way for new paintball players to get into the game and get hooked!

There are fields all over the country, from Battle Creek Paintball in New Jersey, Lvl Up and Battlegrounds in Central Ohio near Columbus, Blast Camp Paintball near Chicago, X-Factor Paintball in San Antonio, Texas, Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California and SAC Paintball West Coast Adventure Park in Sacramento, California. These fields often work with leagues or operate independently to put on events throughout the year! Big games and scenario games like Living Legends and Invasion of Normandy are great for an organized experience with lots of people to play against but in a less competitive environment and usually take place in the woods. Leagues like the National Xball League (NXL), the Mid South Xball League (MSXL) or the West Coast Paintball Players League (WCPPL) offer a more competitive experience with potential for cash prize winnings and sponsorship opportunities!

No matter what your style, there is a place for you in paintball! If you haven’t played yet, try having your next birthday party at a field near you. Be sure to check out Punishers Paintball to find everything you need to play and check out our YouTube channel for videos about gear and playing!
