Empire Axe 2.0 vs. Empire Axe Pro Paintball Gun

The Empire Axe 2.0 and Axe Pro paintball guns are some of the most well known intermediate speedball paintball markers on the market.  The Empire Axe 2.0 has become popular due to its smooth shot, great reliability, cheaper price point, and good air efficiency.  Its earlier predecessor was the very popular Empire Axe Pro Paintball gun.  Although there are some main similarities between the two markers, there are also a few differences.  The bolt system and release system of both the Empire Axe Pro and Axe 2.0 are both the same.  The regulator, trigger, trigger frame grip, barrel, and Feedneck are also the same between the two markers.

The main differences between the Empire Axe 2.0 and Axe Pro are the ergonomics and board.  The Empire Axe Pro has a Redline board which is an OLED board.  The OLED Redline board allows for players to adjust their marker settings by seeing all data with text on a display screen.  The Empire Axe 2.0 only features an LED display which makes it more difficult for players to determine current settings and adjusting settings if need be.

The ergonomics of the Empire Axe 2.0 and Axe Pro are also different.  The Empire Axe Pro has a space between the trigger frame and fore grip allowing for players to wrap their thumb around the fore grip easier than on the Axe 2.0.  The Empire Axe Pro fore grip is metal while the Axe 2.0 has a nice rubber grip with micro-texture which feels great in the hands.

Price on these two markers is relatively similar.  The Empire Axe 2.0 retails at a price point of $474.95 while the Axe Pro retails for $499.95 and are in limited quantities as Empire brought these discontinued Axe Pro's back once in 2020.

For the price, we suggest the Empire Axe Pro if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one.  For $25 more, you get better ergonomics as well as the Redline OLED board already installed in the Axe Pro.

You can purchase either of these markers at Punisher's Paintball!
